Live in the Moment!
Lately I have been realizing how essential and important it is, to truly live in the moment and appreciate everything that happens in your live. Katie and me were sitting in the park yesterday, soaking in some sunlight and observed the kids playing on the playground. We suddenly got very nostalgic and melancholic, because we realized, that there will always be a last time where something happens. A last time, where your parent puts you back on the ground after carrying you on his or her arm, a last time you will sit in a classroom, a last time you see someone, a last time you kiss a loved one. Wether you realize it or not, those moments will never come back. You will never be as young as you were at that moment.
I guess instead of being sad and unhappy that those moments will never come back, we should live more in the moment we are in now and appreciate every single second of it. I feel like we waste so much time thinking of what had happened in the past. We simply don’t have the power to go back to the past (unless you have superpowers haha). Let’s just make the current moment count.
These pictures are from an evening I have spent with two friends of mine. You see, I could be unhappy that this evening will never come back, or could be happy that I was able to experience this moment with them.
So, please do yourself a little favor and live in the now. As you sit there right now reading this blogpost take 3 deep breaths.
Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.
Think of what is currently going in your life. Which people you have around you. Soak in every moment, appreciate every single second and be grateful that you are alive. It truly is a gift to be able to be here.
Lots of love
